The main vision of Class Act Tutoring is to bring affordable and high-quality tutoring services to those who cannot afford it and those who reside in the valleys.
It hopes to: remove financial barriers to accessing tutoring, empower students in the valleys to excel academically and realise their potential through personalised tutoring and mentorship, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in their educational journey and beyond.
Class Act Tutoring is the brainchild of four teaching colleagues with collective experience of working with young people in the education sector.

Class Act Tutoring is the brainchild of four teaching colleagues with collective experience of working with young people in the education sector. I am told Class Act Tutoring propose to offer bespoke tutoring opportunities in local communities, utilising community hubs such as libraries and community centres to ensure affordability for all students.
IClass Act Tutoring will also offer learning and support through online platforms which will include tutoring blocks for revision in the run up to exams and an on-demand mentoring service for pupils at GCSE or A level.

I have been a school governor for many years and would support the statement regarding the detrimental effect that Covid has had on our children. We also know that our children lag behind other nations in their standards of education, there are also pockets of depravation and often poor facilities in our areas.
I think that this project should it come to fruition will bring a huge opportunity to those children and families who cannot afford the high costs of private tuition but, who’s children desperately need that extra tuition to catch up with their peers and other nations.
I was really struggling with maths in college, and I wasn’t provided with many revision materials to help me, not only did I not understand most topics, but I didn’t feel organised which is a big thing for me to be able to understand each topic. Class Act Tutoring has managed to squeeze me in and I have now had about 10 hours’ worth of tutoring and I already feel so much better about my exam in a few weeks. I have most definitely learnt a lot as the tutor explains things very clearly to me, the “hard” topics have now become easy for me. I also have a better understanding of what is in my unit 1 and 2 exam and what is expected of me to be able to pass AS level maths with a good grade.
The tutor has helped me understand how to identify topics from past paper questions which is something I used to struggle with as they can be worded very difficult. She has also recommended me amazing maths books to make it easier for me to revise alone and also gave me the option to message her if I needed any help with homework/revision. With such little time she has managed to cover a huge number of topics with me, and I couldn’t recommend enough
As a result of all the hard work and extra hours my daughter has put in, thanks to Nia, my daughter has now moved up a set in Math and she is so relieved and happy about it. I had a parents evening in March and her Math Teacher is so pleased with her, her marks are always the highest in the class, her confidence has grown, she gets on with her work, she will always ask if she needs help, she will now put her hand up to give answers and she is now in the middle tier for the Math GCSE Exam. They have said that she can do the Exam early to give her the opportunity to try for a higher grade if need be. The teacher has said they may move her up another set in Math, when she is ready but for the moment she is doing so well there.
My daughter is really enjoying Math and thriving in her lessons and without her tutoring it wouldn’t have been possible because there really wasn’t any support out there, we could afford and I really feel for parents and children who are not able to get the support they need. It is so important that there is affordable or free tuition as the schools are stretched and, in our case, when I asked for support from them, they were sorry but there wasn’t any available.
One of our students, Tom, was struggling with his GCSE math coursework. Through our group tutoring sessions and focused revision workshops, he gained a better understanding of key concepts and improved his problem-solving skills. By the end of the term, Tom's grades had improved from a D to a B, and he felt much more confident in his abilities.
an A-Level student, was aiming for top grades to secure a place at her desired university. With the help of our intensive revision blocks and personalised online tutoring, she was able to achieve A* grades in both math and further math. Jessica's hard work, combined with our targeted support, made her dream a reality.
